07.17.07 - ... And We're Back!
Allow us to begin by congratulating Grady on once again representing the Cleveland Indians and the American League in the summer classic. In other news ... Grady continued his tear on the highlight reel by again reaching SportsCenter with another miraculous catch in center, this time robbing Paul Konerko of a blast off the left-center outfield wall at Jacob's Field. Again, let us all hope that this, among all of the other beautiful defensive plays, will warrant Grady some consideration at the year-end's Gold Glove voting.

Did you see that? With one of the most amazing catches in baseball, Grady
laid out in center against the Tigers last night to snag a fly ball before tumbling into the outfield wall. Let us hope that gains him gold glove considerations. Take another page out of Grady's growing book of how to play the game.

10.01.06 - Peter Gammons of ESPN is making it known that Grady is his pick for the American League MVP
award. Gammons, whose baseball writing earned him an spot in Cooperstown's Baseball Hall of Fame, is a strong supporter of
Grady and the way he plays the game. He had the following to say about Grady and his big year:
"He is a prime defender at a middle-of-the-field position. He plays as hard -- if not harder -- than any player in either league. He leads the American League in doubles, extra-base hits and runs, is second to Ortiz in total bases and Carl Crawford in triples, he's hit 28 homers out of the leadoff spot, his VORP (value over replacement player) is fourth in the AL and his OPS (on-base plus slugging) is in the top 15."

Yesterday, Grady hit his 28th homerun of the season, a 2-run blast that tied the ballgame and later added to the win over the
Tampa Bay Devil Rays 5-4.
As Grady's season winds down, GS.net is excited to root him on as he closes in on 30 homeruns. Join with us as we
